10/28/2008

Filderstadt, Germany, October 28th, 2008 - As market and technology leader in industrial parts cleaning, Dürr Ecoclean is again exhibiting at this year’s “parts2clean”, the leading trade show for solutions in industrial parts cleaning, in Stuttgart, Germany from October 28 to 30. Dürr Ecoclean’s new “EcoCMax” cleaning system will be introduced at the event, which in addition to being flexible enough to accommodate a wide application range also offers outstanding conditioning of the cleaning media. Furthermore, Dürr Ecoclean is announcing its cooperation with UCM AG, a Swiss specialist in precision cleaning. The collaboration between Dürr Ecoclean and UCM offers customers in the future an even wider range of solutions for the cleaning of industrial parts, all from a single source.

EcoCMax – ultimate equipment for problem-free customization

The high-performance single-chamber EcoCMax cleaning system, in its basic version, is so designed that it is flexibly adjustable to a variety of different cleaning tasks. If there is a change of parts, a change in degree or type of soiling, or with regard to quality requirements, EcoCMax can be adjusted without complex alterations.

Furthermore, the consistently high treatment performance of the EcoCMax’s cleaning fluid is outstanding. Full-flow filtration during the filling and emptying of the chambers, along with continual high flow-rate bypass filtration for the flooding tanks, ensures stable wash quality and thus reliable cleaning results. For both - fluid conditioning and the entire plant concept – Ecoclean placed value on sustainability: filter systems and cascade guidance can easily be adjusted by the operator to accommodate changing conditions.

UCM - finest cooperation

Through its partnership with UCM AG, Dürr Ecoclean opens up a new market segment of industrial precision cleaning in which cleaning results of residual pollution particle sizes in the single digit µ-range are required. UCM is a leading manufacturer of precision cleaning machines, which are increasing in demand in modern production processes for parts cleaning. Within the scope of the collaboration, Dürr Ecoclean will assume sales and service activities for UCM machines, thus improving proximity to customers and response time. UCM will continue product development in precision cleaning as a specialized enterprise. Through an intense exchange of know-how both companies will support each other in the designing of new solutions. The partnership between Dürr Ecoclean and UCM allows the emergence of a comprehensive modular product program in industrial parts cleaning, automation and filtration technology to which users worldwide have access. According to the motto, “Everything from a single source”, Dürr Ecoclean can create concepts for any requirement specification from this product program. Dr. Fritz Dorner, Chairman of the Executive Board of Dürr Ecoclean, remarked, “Through this cooperation a win-win situation develops for all parties involved. Our customers profit from a range of products available worldwide, while Dürr Ecoclean and UCM can collectively open up new customer groups and market share.” Dürr Ecoclean presently has just under 1,000 employees in twelve countries, while UCM has 25 employees at Rheineck, Switzerland.
