VIRIO - the milestone in balancing

VIRIO represents the latest generation of vertical balancing machines from Schenck. Equipped with the very latest technology, an ergonomic overall concept and flexible modular construction, this is the right equipment for all balancing tasks both in the workshop and in production – yet another milestone in balancing from Schenck.

While developing his first balancing machine, over a 100 years ago, Carl Schenck experimented with machines in which the rotor axis was aligned vertically. Today vertical balancing machines such as the new VIRIO represent the ideal solution for disc-shaped rotors such as pump impellers, fans, flywheels and brake discs. These rotors can be balanced without the aid of an auxiliary shaft, and can be corrected directly on the machine – there is no faster or more accurate balancing.

The VIRIO is the perfect equipment for all balancing tasks in the workshop and production area. In manual, semi-automatic or fully automatic design it offers the required combination of great flexibility, good economy and even further improved accuracy which ensures its great efficiency in day-to-day work. The modular design enables perfect adaptation of the VIRIO to the balancing task in hand – even years later when the requirements have changed. Augmented by vertical or horizontal correction modules for drilling, riveting, welding or stamping, it offers every major correction procedure possible. The ergonomics of all components has been optimised for the special procedures required for balancing. The operation of the VIRIO is designed to be simple and clearly structured, so that even occasional balancing is child’s play. The technical features have also been enhanced: the base of the VIRIO is a proven mineral casting, which damps vibrations significantly better than grey cast iron, and together with the measuring equipment optimised for vibration forms the essential basis for the significantly improved accuracy. The usable weight range is greatly extended by the fully adjustable speed regulation, in order to be able to balance even smaller rotors perfectly.
