Dürr Ecoclean at the EMO 2005 - Efficient, high-level component cleaning

Product quality nowadays no longer only describes the manufacture and processing of metal parts but also their cleanliness. This makes the industrial value production chain of component cleaning an indispensable working process for which Dürr Ecoclean, worldwide leading producer of cleaning systems for the general market and automobile industry is presenting at the EMO 2005 in Hanover innovative technology enabling a cleaning process according to requirements that is economical and environmentally compatible – including the world innovation, EcoCell 79W.

The constantly increasing demands on cleanliness demanded in all branches and particularly in the automobile industry can only be efficiently fulfilled with application-optimized, modern cleaning solutions. For this, Dürr Ecoclean is offering top technology, for example, the brand new cleaning system EcoCell 79W, which sets new standards for inline cleaning of individual parts with aqueous media and hydrocarbons. This was specially developed for integration into production lines or direct connection to production installations and processing centres as several businesses produce individual components in series, consolidated for immersion cleaning in basket or frames and separated again after the cleaning process. EcoCell renders these additional processes superfluous. The parts to be cleaned, for example, spraying and gear pumps, valve blocks and filter cartridges are transported into the chambers of cylindrical processing module via a handling system adapted to the part.

It was possible to reduce to a minimum the amount of space taken up by component cleaning as components go through the processes of immersion cleaning, injection flood washing, ultrasonic cleaning, blowing off and vacuum cleaning in the vacuum sealed chambers of the process module in short cycles.

High flexibility bath cleaning unit

With the bath cleaning unit, EcoTrans 78W, Dürr Ecoclean is offering an innovative and highly flexible cleaning system for aqueous spray cleaning and hot air drying of extraction parts, punchings and bending parts as well as housings and containers. Both individual parts and permanent fittings can be cleaned. With the installation produced entirely of stainless steel, various transport and feed systems enable easy adjustment to the user’s respective range of parts. As standard, the EcoTrans 78W is designed for single stage treatment – cleaning and drying. Through its modular construction, it can be complemented with many cleaning and rinsing levels for problem-free satisfaction of also the highest cleaning standards. The appliance can be fitted as standard with an Aquaclean-System for bath preparation. It enables complete sewage-free operation.

Hydrocarbon cleaning – economical and environmentally friendly

Cleaning installations operated with non-halogenized hydrocarbons are considered particularly powerful and environmentally friendly in degreasing and cleaning metal parts. All of Dürr Ecoclean’s hydrocarbon installations operate nearly totally emission-free in a vacuum to optimize the cleaning effect. The cleaning systems are designed for a multi-level cleaning process including the stages, immersion cleaning, steam de-greasing and vacuum cleaning. The installation’s conceptual design with a closed working chamber for cleaning and drying as well as integrated heat recovery minimizes the use of energy and various media. It has no problem adapting to individual tasks due to its modular construction. Effective processing technology is integrated as standard to ensure long durability and consistent quality of the cleaning medium.As with all of this manufacturer’s cleaning installations, the hydrocarbon installations are also characterized by optimal accessibility to all service-relevant components, ample availability and stainless steel piping as standard.
