Dürr Ecoclean receives order from General Motors

Monschau, Germany 10/10/2006 – Dürr Ecoclean, a 100% subsidiary of Dürr AG, has received an order from General Motors. Dürr Ecoclean will supply a total of 16 transfer systems and 13 robot cells for cleaning engine components and transmission systems at various GM plants in the USA, Canada and Mexico.
GM has ordered a total of 16 transfer systems from Dürr Ecoclean for its plants in St. Catherines, Canada and Ramos Arizpe, Mexico.
In addition, Dürr Ecoclean will deliver 13 robot cells to GM. Dürr Ecoclean robot cells are already in use at the GM plant in Warren, Michigan in the USA. Four of the new cells will be installed at the Warren plant to supplement the existing system. The rest will be installed at the Ramos Arizpe plant in Mexico.
Dürr Ecoclean intends to complete the order from GM by the end of 2007. In order to cope with the volume, four sites of the Ecoclean Group will be involved in delivering the systems. With the GM order, the Dürr Ecoclean Group further extends and strengthens its international delivery transactions.
