Cleaning with air

Dry cleaning procedures provide a particularly inexpensive treatment for components. They were developed by Dürr Ecoclean in accordance with the motto: “as clean as required, as economically as possible" and are successfully employed to clean crankshafts, camshafts, connecting rods, cylinder heads, crankcases as well as driving gears such as toothed wheels and splined shafts, for example.

The cleaning medium for dry cleaning is compressed air, produced in the cleaning system. It is directed with a maximum volume of air flow and high velocity (> 800 km/h) onto the work piece to be cleaned. Machining residues and chips are efficiently removed by this. The process air is continuously re-circulated via air treatment systems.

To effectively meet the most stringent cleaning quality requirements, dry cleaning systems can also be easily combined with vapour and wet cleaning procedures.
