491 MAS Magnetic Particle Separator
The process
Dürr Ecoclean`s proprietary and patented (patent No. DE100 06 262 A1) magnetic particle separating system can remove and discharge magnetic particles from cleaning fluid baths by a fully automatic process, operating on a bypass or full-flow principle. The dirt-laden medium is passed through one or more separators arranged in parallel. As the magnets are energized, ferritic solids collect near the separator walls, forming a ring-shaped pattern of foreign particles. The separating process can be controlled as a function of time or volume. In either case, once the limit value is reached, the magnets are deactivated and the separated particles are discharged from the separator towards the bottom. Foreign matter thus discharged can be removed from the system in any of several ways before the separating cycle begins a new.
Fields of application
- For bath reconditioning in cleaning systems in processes involving ferritic work pieces.
- For bath reconditioning in emulsion/oil based cooling lubricant systems used with ferritic work pieces.
Options
- Tilting container reducing the fluid discharge volume
- Vibration chute as chip discharge conveyor
- Aquaclean system for further media conditioning (evaporator principle)
- Configuration levels (number of sludge collecting trays/separator size) 1 x, 2 x or 3 x 20m3/h. Alternatively: 1 x, 2 x or 3 x 60m3/h
Dirt discharge scenarios
Wet discharge from the separator with
- total container content
- reduced container content
into:- customer`s own dirt tank
- customer`s band filter system
Dry discharge from the separator with
- solid dirt into container
- solid dirt onto chip conveyor (vibration chute)
and
- fluid into dirt tank
or
- fluid into evaporator (Dürr Aquaclean system) for further conditioning
